Trail Blazers Adventure Prep Mobility and Endurance Training
Calling all outdoor adventurers who want to feel their best this season and not be held back by achy joints and mystery post exploring pain - this one is for you
Trail Blazers is back for summer! This round will be single day workshops where we will continue to increase body control [functional movement] and mental capacity [getting through the tough moments].
A large portion of this time will be spent on intentional, slow, specific joint training. This is the stuff that tends to look less exciting and aesthetic, we’re working hard, aaand it’s the stuff that will help you move better so you can spend more time on the trails this season.
The workshops will also include a strong core & balance focused flow style portion where we will build some heat, cool down stretching, breathwork, and short nature based meditations.
All of this will be recorded for you to keep and there will also be additional take home practices for you to continue this work after our time together.

a 4 part mobility & meditation series meeting weekly in may
30 minute practice of weekly maintenance for your body, mind, + spirit
We begin by grounded in the space together and connecting to breath, then moving into a series controlled articular rotations through the major joints of the body. Followed by a guided meditation, and closing with a journal prompt offering an opportunity for self reflection.
A mindful break in a busy day or an intentional action on a slow one. Simple accessible practices providing noticeable meaningful impacts on the rest of your day.

what/why/where/when/how:
Controlled Articular Rotations, or CARs are slow, isolated movements through the full active range of motion of a joint. Doing these practices regularly helps keep our joints healthy and active, supporting all our movement.
Grounding in body and breath allows us to come back to presence. Along with a focused meditation these practices invite a mindful check in, bring awareness and regulation to our emotional state, reduce stress and anxiety, and provide lasting improvements to mood, concentration, and deeper understanding. All amplified by a regular practice.
The practice of self reflection and writing down your thoughts is extremely beneficial in getting to know yourself and staying on track with your personal goals and values. Knowing who you are and what you want are important pieces of building confidence, living intentionally, and moving like you.
This short but powerful practice packs a punch of benefits and will have you looking forward to the next one.
